2020-09-26 15:42:34 +0000 UTCIt is really weird that in season 1, Mickey was going all over town to find Ian and beat him up because he made Mandy cry, but now he doesn't do anything even though that guy beat the shit out of her? It doesn't make any sense and is not true to his character (and this is coming from someone who really likes Mickey). And yeah I know there are deleted scenes (why they deleted them I really have no idea...) but still; this is just poor writing in my opinion. Anyway, I'm glad you're liking the show, I feel the same as you about most things. The scenes with Fiona are heartbreaking but, like you said, she hit rock bottom, and hopefully she'll learn from it.

2020-09-26 07:04:07 +0000 UTCYeah I just saw it and they probably cut it because it doesn’t feel like Mickey‘s character at all, at least not at this point in his life. He sounds too mature and open minded. Yeah it would’ve redeemed him a little so it’s a shame it’s not part of the show.

2020-09-26 02:41:04 +0000 UTCThe scene that was cut that the others are mentioning isn’t the actual fight, instead it’s the aftermath. Mickey going to the Alibi with bruised hands and he explains that it was caused by “getting into it” with Kenyatta. He also mentions how men shouldn’t hit women. It’s little things like this that redeem Mickey, but as you go further into the series you notice how they cut out a lot of his scenes for some reason.
