Damon and Elena drama is sooo boring. It was kinda patronising to break up with Elena because he thought he was dirtying up her oh so delicate feathers, but honestly I'm not phased one way or the other

Also I’m assuming Enzo probably had a daylight ring before he got captured by Augustine and put in the cell. Your reaction to Damon was so funny LOL I expected you to love that. Btw next episode is the 100th episode! 100 hours of TVD (for better or for worse haha).

In s2 and s3, I understood his "relapses" to the wrong side, because it was natural that someone with such a past would not change from day to day. in s4 I understood his insecurity by "sirebond", but this season it's incredibly irritating. After what he went through, after the way he defeated, his relapses to "being bad" or all "I'm not good enough, so I'll be even worse" showed that the writers have no ideas for his character in this "better version" and prefer to do eternal dramas. And it was very irritating. I don't like Delena, but I remember that the constant "get together or not get together" and back to the threesome irritated me even more. I wanted them to end the love story (either they are eventually together or break up) and focus on other threads. That's why I was mainly interested in Stefan, Katherine and Bonnie in s5. I tried to ignore Elena, Damon, both individually and as Delena.

2021-04-14 06:15:12 +0000 UTCThe other characters have been held accountable for their actions and they are no longer killing people and at least feel bad for hurting or killing people. Damon doesn’t feel bad. At least not enough to apologize or admit that he’s done something wrong. Enzo can say whatever he wants to Damon but Damon would only take it to heart if he knows it’s true. He’s also choosing to not change. He supposedly changed already but now we find out he is still murdering and behind Elena’s back. If it wasn’t true and he didn’t kill Aaron’s parents he should’ve just said that, but he didn’t so I’m assuming it’s the truth and so is Elena. Also, this was new for Damon because he may have been ‘sabotaging’ his happiness, but he was trying to hold himself accountable for once. He was taking responsibility and not at the same time which I thought was very interesting. He acknowledged that he can’t change, but since he can’t change he is letting Elena go and setting her free so that she doesn’t change for the worse. I think it’s the most noble thing he’s done. And it’s because Enzo made him feel bad. What he did to Enzo has haunted him and he finally feels bad about something. But he knows he doesn’t feel bad about enough of the things he’s done so he needs to set Elena free. I’m sure it probably won’t last but I thought it was very mature and noble of him. I May never say that about him again 😂

The thing is everyone on this show has done just as bad or worse for far less reasons but he seems to be the only one people want to hold accountable. 😞

People are thinking it, why not say it out loud. It brings up interesting points to this show though. Almost every person has done horrible stuff. What point do we as the viewer “forgive” or not forgive? Thanks for the reactions as always 🙂🙂
