Yes, now you see why people love this show! It's not just crude comedy. Claire and Fleabag's relationship is great. They clearly love each other so much once you get past all the nonsense. Oh, and "Sluts!" "... Yes?" is hilarious. 🤣

Not only was the retreat called "Women Don't Speak", the lecture their father sent them to earlier in the season was called "Women Speak". lol. I missed that on the first viewing. I love the relationship between Claire and Fleabag. And I also love that when they get there and hear a man scream SLUT! Fleabag says, "Yes?" The banker is a really interesting character. It's also interesting that a show that really has a predominately female gaze onto the world gives him room to speak his piece and be sympathetic. This show is so compelling and surprising at times.

This episode really got me into the show and the characters. Some really touching moments. Claire is so tightly wound up and unhappy you can’t help but feel bad for her. She thought her husband had finally done something thoughtful for her and to hear from Fleabag the truth must’ve been so disappointing. And the fact she’s contemplating turning down a huge opportunity for her husband who she calls her life is sad. She’s not living for herself at all. Her relationship with Fleabag is so complicated, they’re both so different. Fleabag jokes about Claire’s cold heart but really she’s super sensitive as you can see from her emotional outbursts. It’s nice to have episodes in one location and exploring the characters.
