Also... I was so baffled by the departure of Simon and his girlfriend from the show too. They seemed to be so important in the first couple of episodes, then... just nothing. For me it was a slight weakness in the pacing and script of an otherwise fantastic show.

2021-05-30 19:01:27 +0000 UTCRegarding your assumption that all women are treated seriously by the police here on the basis of this and Broadchurch, as much as I'd love to believe that was true, I'm not sure it always is. I'm glad they DIDN'T go down that route though, because it's so obvious. And also it allows for the contrast for Kwame when he goes. Honestly I think it's probably luck of the draw who you get on the day in some police stations.
