Yeah I guess Silas couldn’t have been killed but Nadia’s friend wanted to at least gut him and then entomb him again.

But him beeing able to get in peoples heads is pretty powerful but Jeremy is imune if there is a Traveler in your head like we saw with Matt.

That was info that could’ve prevented any of the torture of Damon and the compulsion of Elena so yes that was Damon’s fault for trying to once again “protect” her but putting her in danger instead

My own theory is that it’s supposed to show hope and new beginnings with college, romance and no Originals (as much as I liked them in the show lol)

2021-02-24 16:13:31 +0000 UTCSilas has been shown to be all-powerful, as if there’s nothing he can’t do. That’s why he’s weaker than a vampire, bc they can’t make him completely invincible. I agree that this season feels lighter; I think they’re using a different colouring. Damon’s hair is BEAUTIFUL this season. Literally my favourite hair lol. The scenes with Katherine, Jeremy, and Matt are so funny, it’s interesting to see them interact. Kat is hella struggling with being a human and it's hilarious to watch. I agree that it’s interesting how Elena seems to be connected to Stefan. It’ll be cool to see where that goes.

2021-02-24 15:07:13 +0000 UTCSo Damon actually explained in season 1 that a vampires body pretty operates normally as a humans would, with the exception they can't procreate. They are technically dead, but if you say snap their neck ( as oftens happens) they are in a somewhat pseudodeath like state until they "come back". What Stephen is experiencing is essentially dying over and over again from drowning.
