Normal Hook would *never* part his hair on the *right*. That'll show 'em." 😂 Joking aside, I do like the choice to make him seem almost high on the darkness. Especially in that first scene he has with Rumple and Belle and the one in Granny's towards the end with Emma and Merlin, he looks so out of it. I think it's safe to say Rumple had an addiction to the darkness, but to my recollection we never saw him so strung out like Hook is. It makes sense, though — for most of the 200-some-odd years Hook's been alive, he's at best had loose morals. He's done okay for the last couple months or so, but I'm not sure he ever really *dealt* with how drastic a change that was, let alone built a steady foundation that would limit backsliding, so to have those centuries of darkness and pain flood in at once would've been overwhelming. I don't know whether Hook's mannerisms in this episode were the actor's choice or someone else's, but either way it worked really well IMO. Now, the plot on the other hand ...
