I have a few gay cousins who have told me about certain people they’ve hooked up with over the years, people that I never assumed to be gay/bi. But they’re hiding for a reason. I live in the south and people here still have a lot of growing to do. They may not be openly hateful but they laugh and talk behind your back for all sorts of reasons.

2021-09-26 15:18:36 +0000 UTCYeah, I think it depends where you live and how is the mindset of the people who lives there. For exemple, for a while (maybe 4 or 5 years ago) I lived in a little town and there was two girls of my highschool, they were spoted outside of school, not even doing anything special, but just holding hands (like a couple, I mean) and the day after that, people kept starring at them, laughing and making fun of their sexuality. They JUST saw them holding hands, it was nothing. Fortunatelly, the girls weren't bothered at all by that and they just were like "Yeah, so what ? You have a problem ?", so eventually those assholes left them alone. And the town were I am now, for what I know, noone cares about that, people are like really openminded about sexuality and all, so it's great. I hope things will get better everywhere and for everyone :p (Sorry for my english ^^) Thanks for your great reaction :D
