It always bugged me too how the 2 sons look like they belong to the others mom physically. I think I heard the 2 boys originally were supposed to be switched but CMM said he already played the bad boy & didn’t want to do it he wanted to stretch his acting chops. So maybe they originally cast the moms based on the assumption the boys would be playing swapped roles than just left it that way anyways? Also about the roles I heard in an interview I think? Nathan’s actor was chosen more for his basketball skills he’s good irl, he’s wasn’t that strong an actor in the beginning I mean he’s not terrible but he has room to improve & does over time.
