I’ve been watching you long enough to tell when you really like a show lol. I could tell watching you react to episode one and two you were like … is this really what I’m watching!? Lol. But I can tell now you are starting to get into it

2023-04-19 19:16:54 +0000 UTCI know it's been a few months but I've seen you are not that far into season 2, so I wanted to clarify something that you might've not gotten with regards to The Ark... The Ark wasn't "made to house survivors", in fact, The Ark as a whole, the one you see now, wasn't "made" at all... The Ark is really a bunch of orbital stations from different nations, those stations had each their crews which were obviously high level and highly trained people from each country and there were all doing routine work, just like today with the International space station, the Chinese space station, etc... After the nuclear apocalypse happened on earth, those people in those stations were (or believe they were) the only survivors of the human race, because they were all in space when it happened; there were no ships escaping earth and joining the ark, there was no ship or "Ark" built on earth and then launched into space with a bunch of survivors... The Ark we see in the show, is actually comprised those space stations joining each other and forming a much bigger ship and the people who lived in the Ark at present are descendants of those people who were originally the crew of each space station... So that's why they had so many designs issues and flaws that you picked up; yeah, there aren't enough dropships for every citizen of the ark, because it was never designed to be a permanent living station for generations and generations... Yeah, shit like oxygen generators and water suppliers are a huge issue, because it wasn't designed for that... And like they said this episode, yeah, they can't just "land" the ark on earth because it was never designed as a ship, let alone a dropship... Even the individual stations are not designed for that; the international space station isn't designed to ever leave it's place on orbit and actually re-enter the earth; those stations are actually (mostly) assembled in space... Parts are built on earth and launched and then assembled on orbit, and the crews on those stations that go back and forth between the station and earth use smaller ships to make those trips... In the case of this show, those were the exodus ships, but they are much smaller and never designed to carry hundreds and thousands of passengers back and forth

It's really refreshing to see someone understanding that she is adapting to the situations and doing what she has to do to keep everyone alive 👌 -Fun fact that has nothing to do with the show: the actors playing Clarke and Bellamy met on the show and got married a few years ago and they just had a baby, not that long ago 🥰
