The thing with Tom is because even before he married shiv they had a plan about making him ceo( crazy, yes! but she promised him that so that's why he's upset, even though he says he didnt got married because of the plan( I believe him and I think he's being reasonable about Logan doing to Shiv the same he did to Kendall, but Shiv wants to believe Logan so much that she quits her job immediately

The scene where he throws the paper at his reflection in the mirror shows this too and I feel like he doesn't even feel worthy of human contact( can't hug his daughter or Greg) I think he genuinely wanted to give something to Greg to at least do something good. I love the detail of him stealling and throwing the batteries away. I think that can either mean he desires to be caught, be punished( more than being spit in the face) as in his life his father has always cleaned up after the bad things he's done( like the accident) but it can also indicate that he is trying to do something rebellious even if it is by doing something so insignificant. Every time I rewatch something from this season I'm always in awe of Jeremy Strong's work and the emotional transformation he put into Kendall.
