And him lashing out like this is more than just about Clarke (I've seen a lot of people watch this show and be like "oh come on you knew her for like four months or so, you're over-reacting", and this is also what Bellamy was probably thinking when he looked shook by Finn's acting), if Finn is like this it's also (mostly) because of the trauma he's been through when they were fighting at the end of season 1. In real life, you can also see this pattern with some former soldiers, it's often people who don't have the necessary strengh to face violence. They go to war all innocent and pacifist but after they experience war, they come back traumatized and slowly start to show physical violence they don't understand themself, over the top anger, fixating and obsessing over something or someone they can hold on to because they feel like they are losing themself. You can see this also in innocent kids growing up in an abusive home and becoming violent themself when they're adults. Personally I was surprised the first time I saw this scene, I did not know that they were gonna play with the characters psychology ^^ As a psychology student, I love to pay attention to this kind of details and you'll see that this show does a really great job at portraying every character realistic psychological/mental response to what they've been through, depending on their personality. If you don't pay enough attention, you'll think "well why is this character acting like this, it's weird, or it does not make sense, or he's being over the top" etc, but if you do pay attention and think about it you'll enjoy the show even more for making this kind of things realistic (this is why this show is one of my favorites 🥰 ) -Amazing reaction, thank you sm, I hope you and your mom are doing good 😊💛
