Monica's powers (in the comics) are she can become, absorb and project any form of energy/ subatomic particles. She's PSYCHO when she puts her mind to it. When she joined the Avengers in the 80's, she was learning different energy forms all the time and she developed amazing leg and back muscles for carrying those scrubs almost by herself (Wasp helped). As for "If she had the Phoenix", she kinda don't need it. I'm a bit of a Wanda fan but some of the shit she's done is not defensible, but since "Trial of Magneto", she's at least working on making amends.
