-Personally, I got into the show in season 2, because like you said I didn't really care about them, I thought most of the characters were annoying, except Musa (empath girl), who I thought was the most interesting. -The show is based on a cartoon and animated movies series :) -If you want a realistic show, with real problems and deeper characters, and if you'd like to discover a different culture, I suggest a show called "Alrawabi school for girls", it's an arabic really good show, and beside the storyline, it shows all the problems there is in their culture, like the internalized misogyny, etc... There is only six episodes and the show has a good success! A lot of people have been saying that it's a mix of Elite, 13 reasons Why and Mean Girls 😉

2023-05-05 16:55:20 +0000 UTCI feel you on the fantasy thing. I like very few fantasy dramas and I think it's the same with you where if the problems aren't real or deeper I can't relate to it. The only big fantasy TV shows I've really enjoyed are GOT, Umbrella Academy, and Stranger Things. Recently the drama Shadow and Bone is actually pretty good too if you haven't checked that out already.
