Sorry, no recent surge in popularity that I know of. Just one nerd with an old anime crush. The anime was a nice, typical shounen anime. I never read the manga though, so I can't compare them. I managed to get a poster of Dorothy at the 2011 Japan Expo in Paris though, so at least in France the series might have somewhat of a small fan base.
