I feel like Kirsten does have the right to say sth. Ryan is a minor staying at their house, they are responsible for him. We know he's a smart kid, but imagine a worst case scenario where he got Marissa pregnant or sth :D The drama that would cause for Sandy and Kirsten. The whole Julie-Caleb thing is seriously so frustrating. As you rightly put it, Julie doesn't owe Jimmy anything, and she also doesn't owe Marissa anything at this point. As Julie said, they just started seeing each other, so she doesn't have to tell Marissa yet, much less get her approval. Ryan could've encouraged Julie to talk to Marissa, but otherwise 100% should've just kept his mouth shut. Oh and the scene that fully showcases Summer's change, once it finally comes, is glorious :D
