Comic1☆13 !

I participated in a doujinshi event called "Comic 1 ☆ 13".

Although it is smaller than "Comic Market", it is an event where a lot of circles (2500 circles) participate and a lot of people come to buy.

I took part in the book of Scathach of FGO.

I sold about 300 books.

I thank all the people who came to buy.

This book will be posted as a supporter reward for May.

Also I will create English version.

The reason is that the task of passing change is simple. The popular circle sells doujinshi more than a thousand books in a day. In other words, accounting work is required a thousand times. If accounting is bad, you will soon get a line of people. By making the price 500 yen, you can receive payment with a single coin, even if change occurs, you can do with just one coin. Also, even if there are people who purchase multiple types of doujinshi, it is easy to calculate.

Thank you! I hope you to see again!

No, not all of my books. Cosplayers are very good for drawing attention, but it will cost too much...

I was happy to be able to buy your book directly and I'm glad you were able to make a lot of sales. Good luck with your future events as well!

I saw some books yesterday going for 600, 800, 900, or 1,000 yen respectively. I think it depends on the size of the book (physical dimensions and number of pages) and the quality, like if it's full color or not. But yeah 500 yen is pretty standard when buying directly from the artists at the events. The local shops mark them up for retail and then whatever makes its way overseas through online resellers or at conventions is marked up even more.

MechaboyDos

Hav you sold out all your supplies of new book ? Quality is there for sure. Also seen that some sells hire cosplayers to draw attention of potential customers to their books. I mean, if it works it's not stupid, I guess ?

SteelRaven

Well as far as I'm aware price in shops increased slightly due to some customer taxes, but on doujin conventions price is more less the same - 500 yen ( avoiding taxes xD ?). Probably due to convenience - 500 yen banknote = 1 doujin on average ?

SteelRaven

No, it has not changed much since several years ago. Perhaps, I think that the price of Japanese doujinshi remains the same all the time even though the level of salary and price of your country has risen. So, you may feel that doujinshi cheaper.

haruhisky

Thank you!

haruhisky

Does the price drop for Japanese Doujinshi in past few years? 500 yen is kind of low price...

Congratulations!
