I looked him up too and the photo of him as the goth kid looks familiar but I can’t remember if I’ve seen that third film. He just has one of those faces I guess.

I've always seen it on top horror movie countdowns, so I think it is considered a classic. I love the setting and lighting of the movie because it totally fits the aesthetic of the Halloween/fall season in a small town. And this movie has such a good little opening credit scene with the staged death photos. I looked up the actor who plays Sam because I also thought he looked familiar. I don't know if you've ever seen Final Destination 3, but he actually plays the goth guy in that movie.
