2023-08-23 21:54:19 +0000 UTCI don't think they mention it in the show, but in the book it's explained that Laurel calls Susannah by her maiden name Beck. I definitely agree that Laurel can be frustrating. I think she is quick to judge people because of her own insecurities, like she made fun of Cleveland, who is a more successful author than her, and Victoria, who is is ex-husband's much younger girlfriend. I'm sure her judgments have also affected Susannah, which is why she waited so long to tell Laurel about her husband's affair. I'm glad that Belly called her mom out on it this episode though because Laurel's obviously been wrong about her judgments, hence her getting with Cleveland this episode lol.
