2023-12-01 03:08:12 +0000 UTCfunny enough, once they get to that point in the books, it suddenly all becomes about sex. so i think alice being ace likely plays into it cause she kinda wrote it like climbing a tedious staircase. they get together - romance, kissing all that ensues, and then all of a sudden they have a sexual awakening months after dating. i'm on board with the suggestion about hinting at it off-screen, but i reckon they didn’t due to charlie's age and a mix of other plot factors (one did actually make sense to me). but they do eventually make it a focal point, so at least it’s not like they want to erase it in that sense and hence didn’t push it off screen.

2023-11-30 23:08:45 +0000 UTCalot of the characters don't feel real at all. this is gonna sound like a nitpick but does issac always have to have a book in his hands? even when he's supposed to be hanging out with his friends? like we get it.... you like to read. i feel like this show takes an archetype like a bookworm in this case and makes it someone's entire personality. obviously its not that deep but it stands out alot. everyone has their one quirk and thats all they are allowed to be.
