What can I do to provide better service? (2019)

 https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeo9kk31Wc2yq17cdExLrP645SDruYAFsiW27UKKL1OFDHKWQ/viewform

About two years have passed since I opened this channel.
So, like last year, I'm going to do a questionnaire to supporters.
Anyone watching this channel can participate in the survey, not just those who are currently Patron.

My activities in the first half of 2019 were as follows.

Jan: I made a short story for a magazine.

February: I completed a short story for a magazine and drew a book cover.

March: I drew a bonus comic for a bookstore. I published the second book.

April: I made FGO doujin.

May: I participated in Comic 1.  I started making short stories for magazines.

June: I completed a short story for a magazine. I cleared Sekiro's highest difficulty.

July: I made two books of Haruhi doujin.

August: I made FGO doujin and participated in Comiket.

And I have to talk about the current situation.

Unfortunately, my second book sales weren't big enough. I had to choose to keep drawing with a royalty cut from 10% to 8% or leave the magazine.
I chose to leave the magazine.

My plan is to present my original comics digitally. The digital doujin market, such as DLsite and Fanza, will be the place of sale.

If possible, I would like to translate it and announce it overseas, but I haven't found a way to monetize enough.

I feel like I'm standing at a crossroads. All I can do is always keep drawing my manga.

Please pray that I am moving in the right direction.

Thank you for your supports!

You're doing so much great work! Really I'd just love to see an English translation of C85 Harubon.

Thank you very much. It's difficult to change everything at once, but I'm going to make every effort to improve things little by little. I'd like to think about what I can do to improve the service at Patreon, with everyone's advice!

I can't help you out with any of the publishing topics, so I'll just do what I always do: You're an amazing artist that deserves all the recognition and payment for all the hard work you put into your drawings! Your art always manages to cheer me up and help me through the day. I always anticipate your new content and I am especially looking forward for the printed doujins from you^^ However, that doesn't mean I expect you to publish a drawing per day or so, quite the contrary. Take your time, relax if needed and keep creating the things that you love! It really shows in a drawing if an artist had fun making it and I always feel like you're enjoying it. Once I start my job in October I'll increase my patreon subscription, because I'd like to see you getting recognition for your work. Take care and keep being awesome!

Thank you, Patreon's support is exactly one form of your “direct” payment. I really appreciate you! I will investigate Gumroad! !

Thank you very much. DLsite had a site for overseas. I might be able to sell my doujinshi there. I will challenge! Thank you for the information about Gumroad. I will investigate!

I think that the book becomes very expensive because many companies intervene in between. I think what I should do is to publish my content while reducing the amount of mediation. Thank you for the information!

Thank you! I am very interested in selling doujinshi digitally. It can eliminate printing costs, eliminate inventory risks, and attract new readers. It is a new challenge, but I think there are plenty of opportunities.

I want to cultivate sales channels for e-books overseas. Thank you for the information!

Personally I also think DLsite is the best Japanese distributor for overseas fans, since even the Japanese site is easy to use. If you plan to release uncensored versions for the west, please consider using Gumroad. As far as I know you only pay a fixed monthly fee there and get a 100% cut of the sales. (It's been a while since I checked their conditions, so better read them in detail.) Personally I strongly dislike all western anime and manga distributors. I won't be able to support you on sites like Fakku, since I boycott their efforts to create a monopoly on hentai in the west. I want to pay creators as directly as possible.

Takuya Sawatari

I think DLsite is a good option. I've bought from them a number of times and it's pretty easy and straightforward. You might also want to look into Gumroad. A lot of western artists have that as an option to sell their art directly to people.

I have seen your works under 'harukichi' in some of the magazine translations on Fakku (where they do monthly subscriptions), however for their main books such as the tankoubons, getting the physical copies are very expensive compared to buying a Japanese copy (exchange rates and shipping fees is usually the problem). It also depends on the country as well since the comic distributor for Fakku only ships to US for example, so other countries cannot order the H manga in bulk, making it difficult to access the physical copy that way. If possible, you can always try one of the American digital sites to sell the uncensored/translated versions of your mangas.

Densetsu Meru

I like what you draw here and will continue to support you. I wish I could buy your Haruhi dojins digitally too (and your other works.) I hope you will continue in the direciton that lets you have fun drawing. An artist drawing with passion is more important, but I understand you need money to live too. Keep up the good work.

Regarding overseas publishing, the biggest company is Fakku, you could try to speak to them maybe. I think Denpasoft has also started publishing translated eromanga and doujinshi as well.
