I remember listening to the actresses talk about this episode on their podcast, Hilarie saying that she could see herself a little checked out by watching her character (because of her experience with Mark Schwahn, I think he had forcefully kissed Hilarie on the way there), and the others commenting how it's strange because it's not something they can see watching the episode, but it is very noticeable to Hilarie seeing Peyton's scenes, that she's not fully there at that point. And about Rachel's character meeting somebody else, the girls commented that it's all about the actress Danneel meeting Jensen Ackles (Dean from Supernatural), her husband now. Apparently Mark Schwahn wrote this storyline out of jealousy towards Jensen Ackles, to take it out on Danneel's character because she won't start something with him. Really disgusting behaviour. The way he uses Mouth to project his own fantasies and frustrations on. On the podcast they mention that the actor for Mouth is an amazing and talented person, so it sucks how he's not given proper storylines.
