Because A is going after them and their loved ones now even without their loved ones knowing anything. If they were told the truth they would be able to be on the lookout and could protect themselves better. A went after Hanna’s mom when she didn’t even know about A. So the girls would be better off telling everyone they know about A so they can prepare themselves. A only has power because of secrets. If the girls tell their secret A has no power. It’s like an abusive relationship. If a woman is being abused by her boyfriend/husband and doesn’t tell anyone than the man has the power. Once she tells her friends, family, authorities he stops having the power. It’s the same with A imo.

A tried to run his mom off the road because a heard aria tell Hanna to tell Caleb , if they tell everything gets blown up , for example Hanna mom goes to jail , Ezra goes to jail(well deserved) but still , arias dad gets fired , Caleb’s mom could possibly get killed , I want to know what you think telling them will do ?
