I didn’t say trans is a choice or if I did I meant transitioning is a choice. I know because I have the same feelings of feeling like the opposite gender and have taken HRT before. Transitioning is a choice because there is technically nothing wrong with a trans person’s body but doctors give them hormones that alter their bodies and mind. The difference between gay people and trans people is that gay people aren’t uncomfortable with who they are. Society is. Trans people have extreme discomfort and the feeling is real but I feel that doctors should focus on therapy and helping them to love and accept who they already are. If someone told my child that in order for them to be themselves they need hormones for life and cosmetic surgery I would find another doctor. The problem I have with trans ideology is that in order for them to love themselves they need validation from other people. This changes laws, puts males in women’s sports, and forces people to believe in a lie. I would have less of an issue with trans ideology if they were saying “I want to LOOK like a man or a woman, but I know I’m not one” instead of “I AM a man or a woman and you must agree to treat me like one”.
