7/7 is the day of tanabata.
It is a story of lovers that appears in a Chinese legend. The legend says that a man and a woman who are blocked by the Milky Way in the sky can only meet once a year on July 7th, a fine day.
In Japan, we decorate bamboo branches with colorful strips of paper on which we write our wishes, hoping that they will meet each other safely and that our requests will be fulfilled.
