2025-09-05 03:01:47 +0000 UTCjust so u know, in order to be an organ donor u usually have to be brain dead. bc when you die in any other way, your organs die with you. like if your heart was still beating then you wouldnt be dead (unless youre brain dead). then they keep you on life support until they can take your organs out to bring to other people, after which you die completely. so thats why its tricky to get organs sometimes bc someone has to die in a way that their brain dies but the rest of their body is still alive. and then they have to be a match for the person, and im sure location plays a large role too bc it'd have to happen nearby, or at least not like across the country. and i think the issue with the last heart they had for denny was that it was damaged but they didnt know until they got there. hope that clears things up a bit lmao bc there was some confusion
