However, I believe that AI technology will become absolutely impossible to ignore when creating illustrations in the future. (Just like we can't ignore 3D technology.) So, in order not to be left behind by the technology, I would like to continue learning and practicing.

Not only because you have more control over the final piece but also because it gives you and the final viewer a glimpse into its production. With AI there is no real "glimpse" to speak of. AI doesn't even understand what it's doing. Having sketches and line art kinda makes it more valuable (at least for me like I said).
