Did James start out as a girl and get surgery to have guy parts? Or was it the other way around? Aside from that point, everything made sense to me. The adaptability part kind of reminded me of how clownfish adapt to mate. Anyways, I love your longer stories. As they say, bigger is better! I look forward to reading more.

I want to understand where "humans" wound up and why the lol cat aliens were so adaptive. Obviously you have clues to their backstory. My mind looks for more. Without trying to make you feel pressured. This is easily a small story like you've done before that could be a series of novels. You do amazing stuff man when your prompted and have inspiration. I hope you never lose it. You know I read your work. I hope your well. Anyway. Amazing work!
