Failed Comic Book Proposal

Earlier this year, I had it in mind to try my hand at a comic book script. I proposed an idea to TransformFan and was given the thumbs-up to write a first issue script. It took a bit but I tossed one together and the very patient b-ridge helped clean it all up. I sent it off and, well, never heard back so I guess it sucked balls. Dunno.
My immense failure is your potential gain as I'm posting the script here for y'all to read. There's a kobold TF and succubus TF in the first issue with plenty more plotted out (in general) for the next several issues - all listed in the character descriptions at the beginning.
It was an interesting project to work on and I learned a thing or two so, that's cool. I can also say that I've worked on a comic book script! One thing off my bucket list, I suppose.

Synopsis: A select group of young, newly graduated sorcerers receive their first task in their real world: finding their familiars. In the modern world, a simple black cat is no longer enough. They must find their true loves and mold them to fit their spirit animal.

CHARACTERS
Liam Wright: 5’ 9” tall, slender. 18 years old. Caucasian. Short curly brown hair and hazel eyes. Timid with a bookish/geeky vibe. Wears casual clothes – black t-shirt, blue jeans and older sneakers (like Vans). Almost always has a black hoodie (with a large front pocket). The hoodie has a single design – a large white circle with a vertical line down the center. Timid and never seems to know what to do with his hands, often just has them in his jean pockets or hoodie pocket. Sometimes carries an old brown satchel with him, slung over his shoulders.
Elijah Ward: 6 feet tall, average body type. 18 years old. African American. Close crop haircut with a high fade. Well kept short beard that borders on stubble. Brown eyes but he wears glasses (rectangular frames). Studious and often distracted by his own thoughts. Has a serious “resting” face. Often wears slacks and a sweater with a white shirt beneath and the sleeves rolled up. Dress shoes complete the outfit. Wears a silver locket on a silver necklace.
William Hadi: 6’ 2” tall with an athletic body type but more lean than bulky. 20 years old. Middle Eastern. Blond hair (in a “blowout” style), grey eyes and an easy smile. Confident and considers himself the group’s leader, if there was one. Untucked red polo shirt with navy jeans and white sneakers. An analog watch on his left wrist that he never uses. The tips of his fingers are stained grey.
James Navarro: 5’ 8” tall with a strong body type that tends more towards bulky than lean – overcompensating for his perceived lack of height. 19 years old. Caucasian. Black curly hair reminiscent of the Jon Snow character from Game of Thrones but not as oily and not quite as long. Green eyes. Scar above his right eye starting about two inches high that cuts down into his eyebrow. Arrogant and typically scowling or just frowning slightly. Black military-style cargo pants with a grey t-shirt and a black (open) jacket.
Amanda Tanaka: 5’ 10” Japanese tomboy with black hair in a short pixie cut ( https://i.imgur.com/4cE72H9.jpg ). 18 years old. Heavy on the black eyeliner and makeup for a grunge look. Five studs in her right ear that start in her ear lobe and up, 2 studs in her left ear lobe. Has a simple black ribbon choker and a studded bracelet with short, blunted spikes. Wears black jeans with a black leather jacket and a white t-shirt beneath. Finishes the outfit with black boots. Red painted nails and red lipstick. She’s tall but lithe with smaller breasts but hips that just barely keep her from looking like a boy. The effect is nearly ruined by her slim ass. Her pants fit her tightly, held together by a belt with silver studs. She matches with Liam eventually.
Amanda Tanaka (rottweiler weredog): 6’ 2” when changed and more muscular. Turns into a rottweiler dog girl. Her teats are slightly smaller black nipples that are almost hidden by her belly fur. She keeps her hair, bracelet and choker. Full tail and thick fur all around but still with a bit of a grunge/punk look.
Chloe Blackwell: 5’ 6” redhead with a charming, sly smile. She’s 19. Her hair is loose and reaches down to her shoulder blades in little curls. Green eyes. Freckles on her cheeks and nose as well as her chest and arms. Pale skin with medium sized breasts, large areola and soft pink nipples. Likes to wear a pleated grey “school girl” skirt (which reaches mid-thigh) with black stockings. Wears a white open back halter top that shows off her skin. Finishes it off with her black pumps. Average hips with a nice ass that’s a little larger than slim but not plump. She matches with Elijah.

Abigail Pruitt: 5’ 7” African American with a faux hawk ( https://i.imgur.com/OQIt8Gs.png ) - colored blonde similar to the photo. 18 years old. Gentle with a shy or happy smile most times. I was thinking, facially, similar to Lupita Nyong'o like here: https://i.imgur.com/bVDxAsN.jpg . Slightly bigger than average breasts with nice hips and an ass to match. Blue jeans with a blue (with white stripes) button down, collared shirt. The sleeves go down roughly to the middle of her forearms. Wears a simple golden bracelet on each wrist and small gold hoops for earrings. She matches with William.

However, her body should be covered in short, silky black feathers and the tips of the wings should have long claw-like fingers. Ears should be lengthened but not as long as in the example picture. Her eyes should be golden and then there should be even small feathers on her brow and potentially on her cheeks. Lucas Page (male): 6’ 1” Caucasian. 22 years old. Black hair in the style of: https://i.imgur.com/5ng8gvj.png with a short but well-kept black beard to match. Brown eyes. Charismatic ladies man type. Wears a black button-down shirt with the top three or four buttons open. Blue jeans with an olive-colored belt and brown Oxford shoes. Athletic but not bulky. Thin “happy trail” of hair up to his belly button. He matches with James.
Lucas Page (female): 5’ 8” Caucasian. 22 years old. Curly black hair that reaches just below “her” shoulders. Large breasts with wide areola and thick, dark nipples. Curvy hips and a plump ass. Thick thighs but not chubby. Twin dimples low on her back. Stereotypical pouty lips but not overdone like a bimbo. High cheekbones. Wears black yoga pants left behind by an ex-girlfriend and a sports bra but also one of his/her old grey sweatshirts that hangs down to just barely cover her ass in order to try to hide her body. As above, she matches James.
Lucas Page (ratgirl): 5’ 10” when changed. See example here: https://i.imgur.com/8hEV9gL.png - I know the example is clothed (& armored!) but I like that style of ratgirl so hopefully it’s enough for a reference. As the rest, teats are nipples flat on the belly, almost hidden by fur.
The Master: 6’ 4” tall in a black robe with his hood up to only show his face. Black stubble instead of a beard. Scars criss cross his arms and hands. His left eye (and most of the surrounding socket) is missing, replaced with a black void and changing star patterns. The edge of the void sends tendrils out beyond the side of his face and his missing eye is replaced by a miniature red sun. Grim features, appears to be early 60s in age but is very fit.
Mía: 5’2” tall and roughly 30 years old (visually, older than that in reality but slowed aging). Think Chel ( https://i.imgur.com/NQA0aNz.jpg ) from The Road To El Dorado. Only with a single, long tight braid and no jewelry of any kind. Wearing a slinky, sexy black dress (https://i.imgur.com/TBMOE4s.png) but no stockings or leggings. No bra or panties. No shoes, either. Just the dress. She oozes sexuality and confidence.
Mía (kobold): 5’4” tall when changed. Turns into a dragonkin/kobold girl. Her body is covered in green scales while the more armored plates on her face, shoulders, arms, tail are black. Bethany (Pre-Succubus): 5’ 6” tall, 25 years old. She’s plain looking with a flat butt and smaller breasts and not much to her hips, either. Her face is pale and she doesn’t wear makeup, and never has. She’s wearing fashion similar to: https://i.imgur.com/uyNbR6C.jpg so it’s younger clothes with that weird lacy sweater thing going on except all buttons are buttoned, not just the top one (seriously, the Imgur link girl is such a slut). Her black hair is done in a braid.
Bethany (Post-Succubus): 5’ 6” tall, 25 years old. A human with a succubus parasite, curvy hips, perfect curvy ass and large boobs while having a flat stomach and well-proportioned legs. Black hair and green eyes and full lips complete the picture. Cherubic with a hungry smile. Similar to her succubus form below ( https://i.imgur.com/EJuBdfn.jpg ) but as a human with smaller hips, smaller breasts and smaller butt since those become enhanced when the assumes her succubus form. She wears a button-down white shirt with the top two buttons open and black slacks with heels. She doesn’t wear a bra or panties.
Bethany (succubus): 5’ 6” tall. I like the design of Meru: https://i.imgur.com/EJuBdfn.jpg for this but with black hair and glowing green eyes with black claws and black horns. Finally, in her full form, she has black bat-like wings that are tipped by claws. They grow from her shoulder blades.
Father George: 6’ tall. Thin with a short gray beard. African American and early 60s in age. Looks decent for his age but definitely showing wrinkles. Kindly narrow face. Typical black shirt and black pants with a white collar.
COVER
The Master, seated with his staff in his right hand, the table (with pipe, drink and four scrolls) off to his right. Mia is to his left and she’s in the middle of changing, halfway between her kobold form and human form. However, in this scene she’s still wearing her dress. She’s clawing at her dress (tearing it slightly – her nails are claws) with her face raised in ecstasy and smoke coming from her mouth and nose.
LOCATIONS
01, Master’s Inner Chamber: Huge shelves of old tomes of various shapes and sizes, up to the ceiling. Occasionally a skull or candle or other occult knickknack occupies a space on the shelf. There is a single old wooden chair with a small round table next to it. A hand carved pipe lays upright on a pronged holder. A glass of whiskey sits beside the pipe. Four scrolls (rolled up and sealed with wax) lay on the table by the glass of whiskey. There’s an open doorway to his left, just past the bookshelves.
02, Master’s House, Outside: A generic old Queen Anne Victorian home similar to this: https://i.imgur.com/IMZwiFA.jpg with a wide yard but still nearby neighbors with 2+ floor large houses. Everything is well maintained, including the streets and yards.
03, Master’s House, Astral Realm: As above, only the house is clearly shown. Everything else are vague gray streaks that barely show their original shape. A dome covers the house, mostly transparent but occasionally with a spiderweb pattern showing. The pattern shows more strongly if something is pushing against the boundary or trying to break it.
04, Soup Kitchen, Exterior: An old, squat brick building with double glass doors in a rough neighborhood. A large open parking lot with a broken basketball hoop is to the right. There’s a slightly rusted sign over the doors: Saint Benedict’s House of Hospitality. When food is being served, there are long tables set up against the building next to the parking lot. Homeless people mill about 24 hours a day but there’s a lot more when food is being served.
05, Sorority House, Exterior: A little like this: https://i.imgur.com/5XlrcMU.jpg but maybe not quite as well maintained at the moment. A few college girls are typically hanging around and there’s almost always a college boy walking by or talking to one of the girls. Delta Delta Delta symbol for the sorority above the door. There are several trees around the house.
06, Generic Bar, Interior: Really, just a random bar. There are round tables next to the windows and a few closer inside the bar itself and a long wooden bar near the back wall. A huge array of alcohol bottles line the wall behind the bar and there’s a big mirror in between them. A few taps are set against the bar.
07, Sugar Black Bean Coffee, Interior: I like this design for a knock-off Starbucks coffee shop: https://i.imgur.com/ldYMg8f.jpg
08, St. Jude’s, Sunday School Room Interior: Something like this: https://i.imgur.com/B7AV3NS.jpg that is kind of cheap and run down looking with homemade decorations but definitely a cross to show what it is, as well as other little child-like things. The floor is made of those interlocking foam blocks that are different colors. There’s a single plastic chair in the back of the room.

PAGE ONE [1] (seven [7] panels)
Panel 1: Large, page-width panel that shows the Master and the four students (LIAM, ELIJAH, WILLIAM, JAMES) meditating in the Master’s Inner Chamber (01). The Master sits on an old wooden chair with a gnarled staff in his right hand. The four students are arrayed before him, seated on the floor with their legs crossed and hands in their laps. Here, the students are wearing plain red robes and nothing else but Elijah is wearing his glasses. Their heads are bowed and their feet are bare.
Panel 2: Liam, in a ghost like form (still in robes) floats above an old, Victorian era house (location 03 – outside the Master’s house). The nearby houses are indistinct and fog-like. There are 4 vague shapes floating nearby as if someone scratched large gray holes in reality. One of the shapes (the Master) is larger and brighter than the rest. A dome surrounds the house but it is only evident by soft spiderweb cracks in a few places. Liam is staring down at the house. Everything is a light gray-ish (or white) color.
Panel 3: Liam turns to see a faint pink (gray with just a touch of red mixed in) spot just outside the dome. He’s curious but anxious.
Panel 4: Liam floats to the spot which has grown redder than before, and larger.
Panel 5: Liam reaches towards the dark red spot beyond the barrier. The barrier’s spiderweb network is more apparent around the red shape and a little beyond, as if it’s being tested. With his arm out, Liam is looking towards his Master with an expression as if he wants to ask a question.
Panel 6: Liam is pushing away from the spot with a horrified look on his face. The red spot is now a demonic maw full of teeth.
Panel 7: Large, page-width panel at the bottom of the page showing the room from panel 1 again (mirroring the start). Liam looks terrified with his hands back, bracing himself on the floor and his legs out in front of him.
CAP (laughter in a stark, angular script)

PAGE TWO [2] (six [6] panels)
Panel 1: Still in the Master’s Inner Chamber (01). The Master is awake and resting back in his chair. Liam is kneeling with his heels against his but and his fists against his thighs. He is visibly terrified. Elijah (seated with legs folded) is cleaning his glasses from a cloth he keeps stored somewhere on his person. William is also sitting but stretching his arms up. James has one leg resting on the floor and the other bent in front of him, barely hiding a yawn.
THE MASTER (softly)
Awaken.
LIAM
Master! I saw-!
Panel 2: A closeup between Liam (who is visibly terrified) and The Master. The Master is raising his left pointer finger to silence and admonish and silence Liam.
THE MASTER
Silence.
Panel 3: Still in the Master’s Inner Chamber (01). The Master is holding the glass of whiskey in his hand. His students are in various stages of surprise and confusion. Liam is kneeling back on his heels again, white knuckled fists on his thighs. Elijah’s brows are furrowed and he’s frowning as if slightly upset and thinking that he misheard. William seems confused while James looks angry.
THE MASTER
And now the lessons are finished.
LIAM (quietly)
No.
WILLIAM
Finished? But there’s still so much you could teach us!
JAMES
What the hell? Just like that?!
Panel 4: The Master is still holding the glass. He appears thoughtful but ignores their outbursts. The students look uneasy but sit quietly to listen. Liam is glancing off to the side with some amount of fear.
THE MASTER
So much to be taught? No, there’s more to learn. This is no monastery, where you devote your lives to the insular study of magic.
THE MASTER (cont)
Nor am I obligated to any of you. These past six years were a whim. A momentary distraction from my travels.

My own master gave me a year. The lessons learned after, the most valuable ones, were the harshest.

Panel 2: The open doorway is on the right, The Master is shown but only half of him (the other half truncated by the panel). Mia is slinking through the door with a sultry smile.
Panel 3: Full page width. Liam is blushing and embarrassing, staring at the ground. Elijah is making an excuse to clean his glasses. James is staring with naked interest while William simply watches them. The Master has his left hand out to his side, palm up. Mia stands next to the chair, on The Master’s left. She’s placing her hand on his.
THE MASTER
Your familiar will be your constant companion. Your one true love.
Panel 4: Liam is still trying not to look but Elijah is done cleaning his glasses and watching The Master. James is still eyeing Mia while William listens attentively. The Master is staring up at Mia with a loving smile and she’s returning it.
THE MASTER
The Fae’s realm intersects with our own, generating the magic we use to shape our reality.
WILLIAM
But, a familiar? She’s- I’m sorry, I don’t understand what she has to do with this.
Panel 5: Basically the same as previous but The Master releases Mia’s hand.
THE MASTER
Ley lines and certain artifacts can enhance our natural abilities but there is another way.

Panel 6: Liam is staring at his lap and even Elijah is looking away now. James is leering while William continues to look confused but he watches what’s happening. Mia has her back turned (towards the reader) and The Master has unzipped the back of her dress. The dress is open to show the fine curve of her back and the top of her ass. There’s a long lump of flesh low on her back, just above her ass. Soft black scales over the lump in a line. She’s got her head turned to look over her shoulder at the four students with a knowing, teasing smile.

PAGE Four [4] (six [6] panels)
Panel 1: Still focused on Mia. She’s turned around now with her front forward, right hand low where her thigh meets her waist. Her left is pulling the front of her dress down over her breasts. Watching the students. No longer smiling but serious. Intent.
Panel 2: Still focused on Mia. She’s got her arms raised straight up, palms flat. Her left leg is raised slightly. Her dress is pooled around the floor but caught on her raised left foot. Her mound and rest of her body are hairless.
Panel 3: Still on Mia. Her right hand is cradling her breast while her left is pressed against her curvy hip. Red smoke curls away from her lips. She’s got her mouth open slightly, smiling again but it’s a hungry smile. The very tip of her thick tail can be seen to the right side of waist and there’s small black scales covering the back of it.
Panel 4: Zoomed in on Mia’s face. Head is bowed slightly, predatory look. Red cracks through her irises and they’re compressing vertically. A narrow oval black scale is forming vertically between her eyebrows. Small, more narrow black scales are growing along her jaw. The red smoke is thicker, from her nostrils and mouth now. Her face is slightly broader now with her nose flattening just a bit. The tips of her ears have those little curved lines to show they’re moving because they’re growing to a point and sliding higher. Two knobs (which will become her horns) press against the skin high on her skull, pushing her hair apart. Her canines are lengthening slightly. The very tip of her tongue shows a small line, readying for a split.
Panel 5: Zoomed out to show her upper body, from her tits up. She’s has an expression of ecstasy now and her chin is raised. Her right hand is between her breasts, clawing at the scales forming there. Her fingers are in a vertical line. Her nails are beginning to curve out into claws and the backs of her knuckles show small, hardened black scales. More black scales, small at this point are showing on her shoulders. Her face is still growing wide. Her eyes are completely red vertical slits now and her ears are higher and slightly longer. Her canines are fangs and her other teeth are becoming sharp as well. Now her tongue has split at the very tip and is just barely beyond her teeth. Her horns are little blunt nubs. Her tail is longer and curving away.
Panel 6: Zoomed back out to show Mia’s entire body. Her nose is flattened completely and her face is beginning to push forward into a muzzle. Smoke is mostly coming from her nose but, with her mouth closed (lips back, showing her fangs) a few streams escape from her teeth. She’s looking back down at the students again. Her ears are higher and longer. The black armored plates are spreading over her arms, up to her elbows. The ones on her shoulders are thicker and bigger. Now new black plates are forming on her hips. As before, her tail is longer again, twisting behind her.
PAGE Five [5] (four [4] panels)
Panel 1: Mia’s leaning back with her legs spread. If it’s possible to show detail, she’s wet and dripping, both hands on her breasts, massaging them. The skin surrounding her inner lips is forming in scales like the example here ( https://i.imgur.com/5gh6J4h.jpg ) while there are black streaks through her inner pussy lips. Her horns are half grown and ringed, a dark red, bordering on black. She’s raising herself up on her forefeet and there are little black armored plates on the backs of her feet and toes. Her face is fully formed into a muzzle.
Panel 2: Roughly the same position but now one hand is down, spreading her pussy open. The previously pink lips are completely black and surrounded by scales. More liquid is leaking, streaking down her legs. She’s looking down at herself with her ears flexed back and an expression as if she’s in heat and aroused. Her toenails are folding into claws and calluses are forming on the bottom of her forefeet while bones shift in her ankles to make it easier and more natural to walk on the balls of her feet. Now her horns are fully formed and pointed.
Panel 3: Fully changed now. Clawed feet on thick black padding. Still focused on her. She has her eyes closed, smoke once more rolling from her open mouth. Her tongue is thinner but longer and split like a dragon/lizard. Her head is raised, once more in ecstasy. One arm crossed beneath her breasts, the other diagonally down to her hips.

Panel 4: Liam is still looking down at his lap, Elijah is focused and looking at The Master. William is rubbing his nose with one finger and appears embarrassed. Liam is shoving at his pants to hide his erection but still leers at Mia. Mia nuzzles up into The Master’s lap with her legs over his knee and he hugs her with one arm (the other rests against her thigh or knee) while she burrows her face into his chest and wraps the tip of her tail over his leg.
THE MASTER
A contract is forged, tethering your familiar to the Fae realm. Changing them in the process.

Part of their power flows back to you while their abilities are used to guide and protect.

Panel 1: Still seated, Mia has her head raised to kiss The Master’s cheek. Her tongue is out, licking him lightly first. She has her clawed hand on the front of his robe. Liam is finally forcing himself to look up at The Master but he’s blushing and straining to keep eye contact. The other three are able to do it.
THE MASTER
That is who you will seek now. Your first step into this new world before you journey further.
Panel 2: Now Mia is nuzzled back into The Master’s chest again, content and smiling with smoke slowly rising from her nose. She has her arms around his chest and her breasts crushed into him. The Master is reaching over to tap the four scrolls on the nearby table. Elijah looks skeptical.
THE MASTER
A last gift and more than I should give but, I am a sentimental fool.
ELIJAH (thought)
Really?
THE MASTER (cont)
The contracts for the ones you seek. They will help guide you.
Panel 3: The Master is kissing Mia’s forehead. She has her eyes closed and her clawed fist tightened against his robe. Her tail is uncoiled from his leg. The four boys are staring at the scroll.
THE MASTER
Wait for me, my love.
Panel 4: Mia is standing, bending over and shamelessly showing her ass and pussy while grabbing her dress from the floor. James is looking over at her and Elijah is sneaking a glance.
THE MASTER
You are students of mine no more. The house will not welcome you if you try to return.
LIAM
But, Master!
THE MASTER
The scrolls bear your names. Take them and leave.
Panel 5: The Master is holding his staff again. He’s watching the students who are standing by the table to retrieve their scrolls.

Panel 1: The Master is alone with Liam, who now holds the scroll and is standing. The Master is sipping from his glass.
LIAM
I saw something, Master! During the projection! Just outside the border was a red mouth, huge and-
Panel 2: The Master holds his drink on his lap. He’s raising the pointer finger of his free hand. Liam has his mouth closed as if wary of the signal and speaking further.
THE MASTER
There are always those watching. Always those lurking in the mists between realities, observing gifted ones.
