*December Update*

Hey Gearheads!

The gears have really been turning behind the scenes which is why the monthly update is a little late this month, but we have a lot of things in the works.

Let's start with the one you guys really want to hear about.

The Huntress Hole has been the testbed for a lot of the new programming coming down the pipes.  We've been testing new teleporters, controller interaction, launch menus, in-game menus, improved graphics, and dialogue AI.  We also ran the poll to get more feedback on specific focus areas.  You guys voted to keep the full size of the scene and to focus on clearer animation over more characters.  So to keep it at the current size without blowing up people's computers we've been looking into optimization methods.  Right now we're working on optimizing the props and textures in the scene as well as swapping the current characters to the new graphics system which makes them fit in the scene better.  Along with that, we need to tweak the lighting since it affects the characters more now.

We've been looking for other ways to expand/improve the way we do things, specifically in terms of our team.  We've made a lot of progress here, that's as cost-effective as we can make it, but expandable as funding increases.

We have a new deal with the Naysayer to provide us with more custom content.  This month we'll be releasing the My Hero Academia animations he's done for us.  One featuring Uravity and one featuring Froppy, both in 2D and VR with custom sound.

We're working with a new writer to hook us up with some awesome scenarios.  They've done 2 so far.  One is the anime troupe where your childhood friend comes to wake you up for school.  The second features Raven, where she's captured you the bad guy and things take an erotic turn.  We also have a third in the works specifically for the Huntress Hole, where you've completed your initial training with Ruby and are ready to really "break her in".  These scenarios are going to take time to put together as they'll need voice acting, animation and rendering/conversion to Unity, but this should really up our quality factor.

We're also looking into a new animator and voice actress to get things moving a little quicker.  The ones we currently work with are great, but it's nice to have options as well as the potential for multiple tasks being worked on at the same time so we can get things to you guys quicker.

While we've been pretty quiet about the space station we have been moving things along here as well.  The AI testing, while useful for the Huntress Hole has been focused on the Space Station "Visual Novel like" demo.  We're working out the plans for at least the first 5 girls and have been building personalities based on your input as well as what feels like a good fit for the game variety-wise.  We currently have 3 girls profiles and intro scenes complete.  One girl is a travel agent checking out the new place and girls 2/3 are a mother-daughter pair on vacation.  We also have the voice work done for the first girl.  So we now have most of the pieces to put together the demo for one of the girls you meet.  Phase one of the AI system has the girl hanging out on the space station, she waves to you when she notices you and when you get close she'll start talking to you.  Once we get going a good clip we'll be working on branching dialogue paths as well.  Especially since this new writer has impressed us so far.  Timing-wise, we want to spend at least another month or two focused pretty hardcore on the Huntress Hole and then we'll be looking to get an update out for the space station.

2019 has been a very interesting year.  As we wrap things up to move into 2020 we really have some exciting things coming up.  We've learned a lot through research as well as trial and error and we're happy that we're able to continually push for new horizons as well as have all of you along for the ride.  Thanks for an amazing 2019 and we hope your as excited about 2020 as we are!
