Originally, I planned to handle six requests today, but after completing four, I felt dizzy and hit my physical limit, so I couldn’t continue. It seems processing six requests in one day is too much for me. As a result, I finished four requests and supplemented the remaining workload with a slightly reduced regular illustration project.

Many of you might wonder about the difference in difficulty between request work and regular illustrations. The two differ significantly. Regular illustrations are easier for me to produce since they involve characters and concepts I’m familiar with and enjoy working on. In contrast, request work heavily reflects the clients’ specific demands, often involving minor characters or complex concepts, which increases the difficulty. Additionally, the quality of the character models I need to use is sometimes low, or I have to research unfamiliar or intricate concepts.

That said, I have no complaints about request work. I’m fairly compensated for each request, so I always strive to deliver my best. However, I’ve realized that handling six requests in one day is unsustainable. While I managed it for two weeks, by the third week, I reached my physical and mental limits. Going forward, I will reduce the number of requests I process on Sundays and spread them across weekdays. For instance, the requests I couldn’t complete today will be processed on Monday and Tuesday.

Additionally, taking a full day off on Saturday greatly improved my health. My chronic drowsiness caused by poor liver health has lessened, and the herniated disc pain I had been suffering from has significantly subsided. This experience reminded me of the importance of rest, so I plan to maintain my Saturday breaks. I don’t want to compromise my health while continuing this activity, and I ask for your understanding.

本日、6件のリクエストを処理する予定でしたが、4件を終えた時点で頭がふらつき、体力の限界を感じ、それ以上進めることができませんでした。1日に6件のリクエストを処理するのは、私には無理があるようです。そのため、リクエストは4件で止め、残りの作業量を少し軽めのレギュラーイラスト1件で補いました。

リクエストイラストとレギュラーイラストの難易度について疑問に思われる方もいるかもしれませんが、両者には大きな違いがあります。レギュラーイラストは、私が好きなキャラクターや慣れたコンセプトで制作するため、比較的簡単に進められます。一方で、リクエストイラストは依頼者様のご要望が反映されることが多く、マイナーなキャラクターや複雑なコンセプトが含まれる場合が多いため、それぞれを調べながら制作する必要があります。また、使用するキャラクターモデルのクオリティが低い場合もあり、難易度がさらに上がることがあります。

とはいえ、リクエストイラストに対して不満はありません。リクエスト1件ごとに正当な対価をいただいているため、その期待に応えるよう最善を尽くしています。ただし、1日に6件のリクエストをまとめて処理するのは無理があると気付きました。2週間連続で達成したため続けられると思いましたが、3週目に入ると体力的にも精神的にも限界を感じました。これからは日曜日のリクエスト処理件数を減らし、平日に分散して対応する予定です。本日処理できなかったリクエストは、月曜日と火曜日に対応する予定です。

また、土曜日にしっかり休息を取ったことで、健康状態が大幅に改善しました。肝機能が良くないため一日中眠気を感じることが多かったのですが、その症状が軽減され、最近悩まされていた椎間板ヘルニアの痛みも大幅に和らぎました。休息の重要性を改めて実感し、これからも土曜日の休みを維持することにしました。健康を損ねながらこの活動を続けたくはありませんので、皆さんのご理解をお願い申し上げます。
