Personally speaking, I think it's a good idea, but managing a community discord is quite complicated and time-consuming. If you're going to manage it alone and end up compromising the development of your work, I think it might not be worth it. Or maybe you could just use it as a communication tool with members, especially those who are commission-based members. Since Patreon's direct messaging system has many limitations, unlike Discord, which is more flexible.
