I will encourage those of you who observe American Thanksgiving to spend your time Thursday with your families, drinking too much red wine and getting in a punch-up with Uncle Pete over whether the Pats or the Steelers are a better team (it's the Steelers, obviously, but you didn't hear that from us*). There will not be new pages Thursday, but there will be a jovial little greeting from us here at Lit Escalates as well as a recipe of my own device for a cocktail with creme de violette, gin (or mezcal), lemon, and eggwhite. Hit the liquor store early, get some champagne while you're there!
