I kinda let myself goes further into the funny, but also this way i try to show it's not so serious. A lot of warhammer fans are quite edgy with the lore, and i already received comment about how a sister of battle would never etc etc. So at least, by showing it's not so serious, maybe they ll shut the fuck up (indeed i don't really believe they will XD)

It's cool if somebody's telling you that you had an artistic error on a flamer or boltor, and I can see why 40k fans let out a collective sigh of exasperation when people change shit-- but that shouldn't stop you from drawing Sisters of Battle committing Heresy in the name of the Emprah.

2019-11-06 21:05:13 +0000 UTCLore and source material is meant to be explored- but it's also something to be respected-- since it's usually what makes a particular story/franchise/character good and is the main draw. Changing something to meet current year/politics/commercialization/moral panic/trends isn't exploring, it's homogenization. Half the time, it boils down to taking fun out in order to replace it with some creatively lacking padding meant to fit some agenda other than having fun. Most people flock to escapism in order to walk away from some aspect of "pop culture" that's not suited to their taste- so it's natural to see disgust come from long time fans when pop-culture wants to inject itself into escapism in order to assimilate it. However- this is literally a porn parody-- so it doesn't really matter-- the entire thing revolves around massive, and usually floppy, objects finding their way into characters. It's a silly concept from the beginning, so why stop there?
