Update Status 0.4

It’s your local cracked-out dev back at it again with a new devlog, In this week's news, I have been thinking about it and I feel like the overall content of the updates is too short. And for that reason I want this next update to be at the very least 500ish renders, the bad thing about that is that you are not going to see the same rapid-fire updates I been doing, but I think it's going to make the overall enjoyment of playing the update a tad greater, (if you disagree let me know in the comments).

Besides that, nothing else will change, you’ll still have my schizo ramblings/update report every week for anyone worried about that.

The workflow for this new update is as follows:

In unrelated news, I have been messing around, testing how much time it will take me to do animations with my current GPU, and sadly… for the moment is just not worth it, it would literally take me around 1 month for the most basic animation. So, then I thought to myself let's see how much time it would take me on blender, well turns out blender is dead set on using my CPU instead of GPU… The pain is real bros….

In all seriousness, I would love to have them but I don’t want to half-ass one just to say, “Yeah, my game has animations. I’m a different breed now” There's a standard I want to set in how the visuals look and I’m not going to downgrade it/rush it without the proper equipment just to sneak in a 3-second goblin-looking animation.

There are ways I’ve seen other people lower the time it would take to render them in mid gpus, using denoise etc, but the quality of how the characters look takes a nose dive that is plain insane for me to consider. Anyways…

Dont fall for the animations trap...Ive seen maybe 2 or 3 VNs from individual devs, where animatios are done in a good way....Most of them end up doing simple one movement loops and honestly I prefer more stills than than animations...
