weekly talk 128

Crap! Forgot we were monday!
Well i didn't forgot, just i forgot the weekly talk anyway

Workflow:
Not very happy with myself, last week started a lot of wips, but got a few finished stuff. On the other hand. I don't give myself full days of break a lot. Most of time i feel bad when i don't work at least a couple of hours, or half a day. So even when i tell myself "it's the week end" i feel bad to just chill. And last week i took two full days off.. aand i feel a bit of guilt for it. I know, it's stupid, but it's how i am. I'm slow enough to not add days of slacking to the sauce!
Anyway this week i'll work on the rest of the patreon rewards, and advance on the bigger piece. I think i'll be able to finish at least one, and several smaller rewards!
Not working on something big tomorow tough, got my rendez vous with the vaccine shot in early afternoon! Some said it make you dizzy, so i prefer to just work on the morning and let my  afternoon open just in case it knock me out!

Heart of Iron

I've been playing it quite a lot recently. In fact i had bought it on a friend advice, but.. it's a paradox game..
How to explain that. Let's resume it by speaking of a mecanic in the game. It's a game that let you control a nation during WW2. You can design your own company of troops. Let's say you want to make some Tanks. You can just use the auto generated template de game propose, and here we go.
OR, you can go in, and decide in this company, how many division there ll be. Do you want small medium or large tank? Do you take some normal trucks to go with and help with supply and carry some troops to? Do you want to make them followed by some motorized artillery division?
Then you notice, you can also research special model of tanks, what about a T34 with antitank material, to make it a tank hunter? And then you decided to decide how many factory ll produce them. You gotta do enough to equip the division you're training, but also some spare to replace the fallen troops and materail up at the front!
Now better, while ou produce it, you can change the model, like use experience of combat to make the engine better, or equip it with better canon etc etc.
And that is only a features possible, and i certainly missed a lot cause i'm a beginner.
And there's tons of stuff like that to decide. What politic are you gonna decide, are you gonna do this or that?

Paradox games are like that, big, lot of possibilities and mods possible, hundreds of tiny rules and hidden details.
And that's also the problem. The tutorial are often garbage material that teach you the basics of basics. And if you don't go deeper by yourself, try stuff, seek on the net, read the wikis, you can miss a lot. And you don't understand why you always loose.
Those are good, but also hard to learn.
So recently a friend took me by the arm, and we did a long series of game and he is teaching me the basics. I'm still at the begining, but it start to get through!
Anyway, i'll leave you there, Mother russia call, Uncle Joe want me kick some German's ass!

That's all for tonight!
