PAYWALL WILL BE ENACTED...Here's How You Can Stop It

EDIT: It's possible, not guaranteed. Don't sub expecting a paywall to be erected next month. I promise if there's going to be a paywall, I'll let y'all know in advance okay?

So,  recently I've hit 5K+ followers on Pixiv which should be jolly good news, right? Well, I've been taking a look around in the Koikatu tags and what do I see? A fat load of nothing. Maybe 5K+ followers means jack and shit, that's entirely possible. But I don't know you guys, doesn't it seem odd to any of you that despite having that amount of followers none of my work seems to be getting any use? Hmm?

I've been scouring through the net, trust me, I've been combing through it and I think I've seen my name only shown up a grand total of once. But do you whose names I do see often? The ones who paywall their content.

Now, for my Patrons, this isn't directed at you. You guys are cool. You're actually appreciative of what I do and I'm very thankful for that.

However, it seems the rest of you are taking the fact that I make all of this and spend quite a long time on this shit for granted. Y'know, I could be earning a whole lot more than I could be right now. For fuck's sake I have 565 followers on Patreon, imagine if I did a paywall! I'd be earning a hella lot more than a 60 quid that's for sure. But I don't, y'know why? Because I believe that enabling others to make shit that they've wanted to but lack the proper tools to is worth it. Seeing people use my work to create something new, now that's something a shilling couldn't get me. That's why I don't paywall shit, so that all y'all could get the chance to make something new.

But hardly any of you do.

So, alright then. If that's how it's going to be then I might as well just paywall everything from hereon out. If I'm going to make something, I'm going to do it for the folks who actually appreciate what I do. Sure, they'll get leaked, but then again, in this day and age, what doesn't? At least you'll have to work for it and appreciate all the more because of it. It's a win-win: I get to work to make content who appreciate what I do and you get to appreciate my content because you had to work to get it instead of being handed to you.

For those of you calling me a drama queen, first off, it's Drama Queen Bitch of the Universe thank you very much, secondly, yeah okay I am being really condescending and bitter over a goddamn porn game.

It's just frustrating to me, y'know? I spend a lot of time working hard to make cards look good, making sure to iron out any bugs, checking every angle so that when folks pose them in Studio or something, it doesn't wig out or anything. But when I look on the net, I don't see anyone using my shit. Which is highly discouraging and makes me question why I even bother putting in the effort. I feel like I could just shit out something and as long as the pile of fecal matter vaguely looks like some Flavor of the Month waifu people would just eat it up. So why bother at all?

These follower milestones all ring hollow when even smaller creators get their content used way more frequently than mine ever does. Hell, they get mentioned more than I do. I'm hardly a whisper! You'd think I, with a bigger fanbase, would have more word spread around but nope. It's like the followers are all bots or something. So screw it, why bother trying to be hospitable  and charitable with my content when no one uses it anyway eh? Wouldn't you agree?

That being said, considering how sudden this is and the possibility that due to my rules of what can and can't be done with my cards haven't been obvious due to being buried away in a mountain of text, I'm not going to go ahead with this immediately. Instead, I'm going to give you guys a month. If, in a month's time, I don't see any marked improvement on this front, (i.e. I don't see anyone using my shit for stuff.) I will be paywalling my content the month after that and onward. I may even raise the price out of sheer spite. (Of course current Patrons would get grandfathered in.)

However, if I do look around the net and see my stuff on a fairly frequent basis, then I will definitely reverse my decision on this. Really, all I want to see is cool shit happen this is why I make tools to make that possible! Money is a just nice bonus at the end of the day y'know?

tl;dr: Use It or Lose It: If I don't see my cards being used in scenes/studio works/images y'know what I mean n' stuff by the end of next month, I am paywalling my shit.

tl;dr tl;dr: That scene in Blade Trinity where Blade says "USE IT" over and over again.
