After what must almost be a year of research, writing, filming, and editing, we're live! THANK YOU!

This is a very erudite and helpful video, as usual. But it's got a really big hole in it, which reveals a really big hole in Then & Now.
You begin Hegel's history by talking about the Greeks, and then move on to Rome, and so on. But Hegel didn't begin his history of the world by talking about ancient Greece, he began it by talking about China. For Hegel, "The History of the World travels from East to West, for Europe is absolutely the end of History, Asia the beginning" (paradoxically, he also said that China was "outside the World’s History"). This demonstrates a very big problem to Hegel's thinking: not only his teleology, but his Eurocentricism.
No, Europe is not the end of history, nor is China outside of it. However, China - and much of the rest of the world other than Europe and North America - are almost entirely outside the scope of Then & Now. You do a wonderful job explaining important issues like modernity and thinkers from the continental tradition. I think your channel would be even better if you could explore more from outside the continental tradition you have already covered so well.

This looks epic, I wish I had time to watch it but will definitely listen to it!
