Sometimes I feel absolutely weird about posting almost nothing but Alyx all the time but i guess that's why you guys are here, right?
The very first thing I did for Eagle One's RUNWAY campaign. EO has previously uploaded recreations of some the GoldenEye64 maps with HLA assets, and, to put it nicely, I really thought their thumbnails could be improved. I offered to redo those thumbnails but this is how I found out about the upcoming RUNWAY demo, a much more ambitious and longer campaign. I was thinking, aw man, Alyx as a secret agent, that is so dope.. All of a sudden I was doing work for RUNWAY and immediately began to work on this workshop cover art as the demo was planned to release just a few days after I joined. Managed to bang-out the mock-up/study and the final during the weekend and I think the demo actually release maybe a few weeks after I finished the cover art, such the life of game development.
The rendering on this a little different from what I normally do I think.. I tried to go for a more B&W polished look and was of course inspired by GoldenEye film posters.
As for the name, full title being GoldenEye RUNWAY 007, and recently changed to Alyx Bond RUNWAY 007. To avoid confusion and not feel like we need to adhere to anything strictly redone from GoldenEye, we changed the name as a few people would see and/or play the campaign and question why it looks nothing like GoldenEye. It's HL/Bond alternate reality.
To dodge the James Bond IP holders potentially striking down on us, we removed the pistol graphic from the logo and turned it into a cheeky 007/lambda.
