Samus paint study
Added 2022-05-02 23:08:53 +0000 UTCWas just a head sketch at first and decided to take it further and do some anatomy/material studies with Samus. I relied heavily on looking at ref here. My goal is to streamline the painting process with fewer strokes and to use more broad ones. When I look at ref while painting, I can't help but paint the small details and zoom in too much to capture the small things, so I think I need to resize the canvas to something smaller. I'm pretty happy with how this came out, but it's going to take some more practice to get my skills to line up with my preferred taste and aesthetic. I think I restrained myself a bit here, but It's something to keep in mind the next time!
