Rough VS page. I'm starting to figure and streamline my process when it comes from sketches to finished work. I def like starting out traditionally in my sketchbook, making many many drawings, and studies. I can't do things in a monolithic way, it just doesn't work for me. Making individual drawings whenever I think a particular feeling or emotion I need to convey for a panel occurs. I might draw it once and nail it, or maybe I have to do several drawings until I find the one I like, then just stitch it all together! The second image is what I ended up with, but I wasn't happy with panel 4. I just couldn't find the feeling I wanted to convey with Alyx. Turns out, I just needed to take a break and try again (I pretty much spent the day working on two pages).
At the end of it all, I'm really happy with how this is coming out, even if it's gonna be inked later. I look at the previous pages i did and i just have a mess of different mediums going on and that's totally fine, whatever gets the drawings done. but this makes me feel like i got my shit together and i kind of know what im doing haha. it really gave me more confidence going forward.
