TBATR Room Concepts
Added 2019-07-07 02:09:15 +0000 UTCEarly concepts and color explorations for the background of pages 5 to 23 of The Bright and the Restless (affectionately named 'the feelings room'). These had been posted on tumblr before.
The earlier concept had Buck's rifle in the room, instead of Steve's shield; this was later changed, as I wanted to make whose room it was ambiguous, and also I can't draw guns. A window was also added, to keep track of the light outside. The only thing I regret is forgetting the boots.
Color explorations were fun for this one. The room's light had to be warm, to keep with Peggy and Steve's color motif- the exception is the searchlight scene, where light briefly changed to an unnatural green.
Color palettes 3,4 and 6 are the ones I ended up using on the comic.
