To put it shortly, a certain pair of undergarments present on Alyx's model in HL2 can make these kinds of cute, one-off things feel icky and gratuitous. We didn't want her to be seen this way for those wrong reasons. That aside, I thought it was fine as one-off thing (respectfully) to show you guys and sketched it out real quick sometime ago.

2022-04-30 00:35:48 +0000 UTCYea comparatively at the time, it wasnt much but of course in hindsight, it feels off, simply bc if you wanted to see it, you had to look down her pants and that's just weird. Alyx is sexy but it's not just in what she looks likes or wears, it's about how she carries herself. But! I am guilty of drawing them here and there for some things... As for the CM, we don't talk about that!

2022-04-29 16:27:10 +0000 UTCI always liked how her wearing purple panties was seen as overtly sexualizing her on the part of the art team - compared to the thousands of contemporary examples of hyper sexualized female characters out there. But no - the four polygons of purple were the problem. And don't get me started on the Cinematic Mod modeling her quarters, complete with a dildo the size of my arm.
