sketchbook stuff

Breaking in the new sketchbook with some mid 40s alyx concepts. I was working in a 5x8 sketchbook but always felt constrained by the size. The natural scale i draw things just felt too big for the paper size and so i would run out of space and have things cropped. It kind of lead me to purposfully cropping limbs out in my illustrations which i think is pretty cool stylistic choice. So, i jumped up to an 8x10 and it is pretty awesome. i feel like i can sprawl out more and have more space to experiment on the same page. my intention with sketchbooks isnt to make something presentable or carefully composed, more for experimenting, studying, conceptualizing, iterating, and but i welcome happy accidents like this. the page just starts to organically grow as you just let go and relax on the page.
