Added 2025-08-08 23:08:18 +0000 UTCink is coming along. messing around with a color palette that is friendly with the riso inks I have. as for the font, I was looking through scans of an issue of a Japanese graphic design magazine from the early 2000s called Narita Inspected. There was a typeface called "fatty" by the now defunct Cyclone Graphix. I loved the font and thought it fit what I was going for with portal2k (and its called fatty, just perfect)
I googled the font and the design firm to see if it comes up at all as a download but I found nothing. a quick solution, the scans were high res enough I could punch out the letters in affinity photo and create the title. There's obviously no numbers here so I have to come up with a way to design the number 2 in this style by pasting other elements of the letter's together. a nice little fun challenge. an actual graphic designer could probably do a better design.
I would like to do a proper solution to this lost font by vectorizing it and packaging it into a free font. not sure the best way to go about it but I have some graphic design friends I could ask.
