December Newsletter

Hey, I'm so sorry for forgetting about November's newsletter. It just slipped under my radar amidst everything going on.

Earlier this month I started painting studies. I always wanted to be a good painter, but have always shied away from it out of fear. I'm now finding myself in more situations where I need to paint.

But this out of a personal desire as well. I have ideas that i've never followed through on simply because I felt they would serve better as paintings.

The biggest new I received recently is got in to the ECCC Artist Alley for next year! It was a total shot in the dark and I didn't think I had a chance, and because it's all the way across the country for me, I would have been saved the hassle. Well, I got in, so I'm already making my plans to be there this March. I'm so excited to visit a new city and table at my first large out of state con. I've heard many good things about this con in particular, especially the AA so I'm really looking forward to being there.

March is not far away, so I'm hitting the ground running on new prints I'd like to debut there. I could only realistically do a few out of this whole list but I'm going work on as much as I can. A lot of these ideas are things I've already drafted out but put on the back burner. I'd like to have a couple new paintings and a handful of inked prints. Top of my list of the pieces I have going are Arcane, Chainsaw Man, Portal 2, Half-Life 2, my OC Ariadna/Sniper//GAL, and Ghost in the Shell. I'll also be bringing originals with me.

VANCE SUBPRIME is unfortunately not going to be in ready this year. Ross and I really don't want to feel like we need to release any time soon. When it's done, it's done. I'm currently fixing some earlier pages that are a bit rough and needed some complete redraws. After that, we'll be full speed on ink pass. But some good news is we'll have our own website for it to be hosted on!

My next zine, Smut-Life: Unforeseen Intercourses is on its way slowly but surely. It will be a selection of my more recent lewd HL fan art as well as some new drawings. You can see wips in my spicy deluxe tier. My goal is to have most of the zine edited by the end of the month and put it up for sale in my store. I was going to simply compile it all into a simple pdf but I really liked the way I edited lQQkbook; it gave it a more traditional, printed book feel.

My plans going forward:

Finish new art for smut-life, edit and release by the end of Dec or early Jan.

Hit the ground on new paintings and prints for ECCC.

Continue my painting studies.
