If the randomization is being implemented to streamline reward distribution, I feel like this is a weird workaround for a not-so-great-anymore distribution system. I think that individually messaging hundreds of patrons is going to be a time sink even if rewards are from a random pool. I'm willing to give this new system a try for now, but I do believe there is a better way that doesn't involve the artist to individually send rewards. I like TTT's idea of utilizing Gumroad more. If your old works get uploaded there, then you could use Patreon solely to distribute current works / animations (and through Tier-based public posts rather than individual messages since the download links expire within 7 days anyway).

And when you change the system to provide a Gumroad discount code, you will have to upload all works that are in the Mega Gallery but not in Gum Road.

I know you said you would mention ahead of time what the choices would be, but maybe you could make a rotation? This way those of us who have a lot of your works know what's coming even months ahead, and it keeps certain randoms from appearing 3-4 times a year and some 0.

I can understand this. I imagine you're probably spending a fair amount of money and time on all the special Mega folders you keep for each patron.

If I can't choose the work I want, the work I already have may be duplicated.

Hm...but is that considerate to people who have a bulk of the old work already? I know a lot of folk will say whatever you do is fine, but I don't mind objecting. We're not pledging for a gatcha system, after all. It's gonna be an OK system for new users but old users who still need specific works might not want repeats, Blue. Again, gatcha systems are bad for a reason.
