Patreon NEWs: Beware IOS/ Apple users!

Hello Patreons,

there is important change from Patreon, the platform. There is now an extra charge for all IOS users who have to mobile app downloaded and use it as their membership payment plan.

First of all the right part of this picture is the new payment plan for ALL IOS/ apple users who use the app on their phone, As you may see, if the membership would be 10$, you have to pay apple's "app fee" included in all this and I wouldn't even have a big benefit out of it. You would just pay 50% to the app store which I think is super stupid to pay soo much to apple just for using the patreon app (in their app store).

I haven't changed to the left payment plan for the IOS users, because I had to pay the apple store's fee personally then and would just lose the money I would earn normally.

CONCLUSION: If you can, don't use the app Patreon from your IOS/ apple device as an app. So don't download the app from the appstore. If you can, use a membership level via your desktop or other device. Just don't download the app from the appstore and pick a membership level. You would just lose money for the "apple fee" and I wouldn't benefit me or you.

So that's a little update, because I just got the mail from Patreon that they changed this and I wanted to be transparent with this.
