The tension on the battlefield was stifling, the temperature in the region rising more and more as everyone seemed to be close to the sun.

Or a Sun God.

The Demon King's golden eyes met the vibrant green eyes of the Heretic God.

Their solar energy increased with each moment, it was a confrontation that to normal humans was thought impossible, a confrontation that Alice Louise was witnessing for the first time.

The clash between a Campione and a Heretic God.

Ozymandias vs Sir Gawain.

Ozymandias' eyes slowly focused on the cliff beside him, the White Cliff of Dover, which was split in two, was not destroyed in rubble. what he did was to open a space of 2.5 cm between the two sides of the cliff.

However, instead of using someone's magical energy power, this sword was only used once an hour due to the need to recharge the sun's energy.

And it had the side effect of not being blocked, even when the attack wasn't used. The light that was covering the blade was like a chainsaw with the power of the sun behind it, it would cut everything with one blow.

Ozymandias' eyes turned to Gawain who was preparing.

"Here I go, Demon King! My name is Gawain, one of the Knights of the Round Table! Get ready!" Gawain roared as he ran to King Sun, who was only ten meters away.

Ozymandias did the same, the Scepter of Ra in his hand was bathed in flames as he advanced towards his enemy.

Both collided in the middle of the battlefield, Excalibur Galatine collided with the Scepter of Ra as both fought for territory.

Normally any weapon that collided with the Excalibur Galatine would be annihilated, the light covering the blade with the power of the Sun would cut everything in front of it.

But in the face of this the Scepter of Ra stood firm.

It was not just a mere weapon, it was the weapon of God, of one who was revered as the "King of the Gods" of his Pantheon.

That weapon was the pinnacle of an entire pantheon.

Excalibur Galatine and the Scepter of Ra clashed as they fought over their forces, a Sun Knight's Sword and a Sun God's Scepter.

Ozymandias in a quick move used the size of his Scepter to dodge the Holy Sword and with one blow attacked Gawain.

But even before his blow hit the Sun Knight he hit a wall of solid light that prevented the attack, but even so Gawain was sent away by the shock wave.

Ozymandias' eyes narrowed on Gawain's armor, using one of the Authorities he received from Hephaestus that allowed for the forge and absolute knowledge of any weapon Ozymandias realized what that armor really was.

Green armor had a history of its use not dying even with decapitation. Added to Gawain's stories of growing stronger with the sun, he became virtually invincible during the day, the invisible force that prevented Ozymandias' attacks like a protective cocoon.

"An Authority that makes him invulnerable, huh," thought Ozymandias with a sigh.

This was a complicated Authority, the easiest solution to this battle would be Ozymandias to use his power to flee from Gawain for the next few hours, until nightfall when he would lose his invulnerability and the power of his sword.

However, that was not an option.

With Gawain's presence, the sun grew stronger. So much stronger than the plants were withering, some were even golden. Soon, they would combust and start a fire.

There was a city below, and they certainly could not escape the sun's effect.

Also Gawain would only get stronger with the Sun, but that was also good for Ozymandias.

After all, he would be too.

The Scepter of Ozymandias disappeared from his hand as he sighed and summoned another Authority.

"I wield the blade that can pierce the blanket of darkness. With the steel sword that cuts through the darkness I will crush any enemy!" sang Ozymandias.

Suddenly to Gawain's surprise the skies darkened, the sun was momentarily obscured as clouds of immense lightning and thunder erupted in the sky.

"Which?" muttered the Heretic God in another surprise.

As the sky seemed to rip apart with the lightning, then a huge bolt of lightning fell right in front of Ozymandias who showed no surprise.

When the ray disappeared it was revealed in its location a large sword of Japanese origin, the blade was silver and had some lightning-like markings while its grip was black.

When Ozymandias took up his hilt, the sword flashed as golden lightning flashed from its blade covering the weapon.

"So you also wield a sword, you are a warrior after all" said Gawain with a slight smile: "What is your name?"

"Ozymandias" said the Sun King as he raised his sword.

"An excellent name, I will remember it," said Gawain before advancing.

Gawain fired, his body bathed in solar aura as he swung against Ozymandias with a dexterity that made all the greatest mortal knights look like children he'd just taken to a sword.

Ozymandias' eyes widened as Gawain surged ahead of him at divine speed.

Acting quickly, Ozymandias leapt back as he used his sword to defend himself, the earth around Ozymandias shattered under the force of the impact, but King Sun did not falter.

The sword in his hand slid away as lightning exploded from his blade that countered Gawain's and lunged for an attack.

Quick as a flash, Gawain turned and lunged again, this time stabbing with his godlike skill hundreds of times at once, creating a wall of steel that could not be avoided by mortals.

But Ozymandias had long since left the Mortal Realm.

His body flashed in golden lightning, the rays surrounding the sword bathing his body.

Using his divine speed the Sun King began slashing with his sword to deflect all of Gawain's blows, and when an opportunity arose, Ozymandias' sword swung out as it struck Gawain's armor as the Knight was forced to retreat.

Gawain recoiled, momentarily surprised when he felt his armor being damaged, being visibly surprised.

"To think you have an Authority capable of overcoming my armor," said Gawain in surprise.

Ozymandias' eyes caught where he attacked, his sword had actually surpassed the power of the armor.

The fact was, Gawain's armor granted him a kind of Invulnerability, though it had a limit and seemed to weaken against a Sword of Divine Origin.

But this was due to the Sun being covered, since the moment Ozymandias called his Authority which generated storm clouds the Sun lost some of its power causing Gawain to lessen its power in part.

But Ozymandias knew this was temporary, his Authority's power to darken the sky was nothing more than a consequence of his invocation, but soon it would be nullified and the sun would shine again.

In the case Ozymandias had to destroy Gawain's armor before that moment.

But what surprised Ozymandias most was that his attack did not harm Gawain, his skin was unharmed, as if it were stronger than his armor.

However this would not be so easy, looking at himself Ozymandias saw dozens of cuts, even with his skill Gawain's attack was able to hurt him a few times.

While not nearly fatal, it was certainly uncomfortable.

Sighing Ozymandias realized that it was not yet noon, but almost, so he could use another Authority to heal himself.

"By my right as Ra, I invoke the power of my body! Show these lands the power of Khepri" recited the Sun King.
