Strongest in DxD - Chapter 9

"Well, after the civil war one of the current Maou, Ajuka Beelzebub, created a system called Evil Pieces that allow us demons to reincarnate other beings as demons to serve us, the only beings that cannot be reincarnated are Gods and Dragon Gods, all reincarnated are servants of the [King], obviously there are those who treat their servants like family, which is my case," Rias said proudly.

"Then?" Ren asked calmly.

"Well, we've identified you as a carrier of Longinus and you're also being followed by Fallen Angels and it's possible you'll be killed by them, so I want you to join my nobility," Rias said with a smile.

She really thought that what Ren would look like was just a facade and that he was shaking with fear inside.

It was impossible for a normal human not to be afraid of being chased by Fallen Angels.

"Well if I have a weapon capable of killing a god all I need to do is wake it up and defend myself" said Ren calmly causing the devils to widen their eyes.

"Yes, it's true, but you're a human and wouldn't be able to use your true power and that's why you must join my Nobility" said Rias, answering the question with an arrogant smile.

"But shouldn't you deal with the Fallen Angels yourself since they're threatening innocent lives? You wouldn't wait for someone to die to reincarnate, would you Rias?" Ren asked with a tone of sarcasm.

"Of course not!!" said Rias abruptly as he stood up until he realized that what Ren said is the same situation as Issei.

Ren smiled before turning around: "If that's it I'm leaving" said Ren heading to the door.

"Wait!!!" shouted Rias as he stood up.

But before anyone could speak an immense magical aura appeared surprising everyone.

Ren had a dark blue aura, almost a black shade in the vokta of his body releasing a magical power slightly less than Rias.

All demons were extremely surprised by the power released.

"I knew the supernatural world long before you said it," Ren said calmly.

"H-how?" asked/stuttered Rias in surprise.

"When I was four years old, several supernatural beings invaded my house and killed my family," Ren said making everyone sad.

The sadness in Rias' mind quickly faded when she realized that because Ren knew about the supernatural world and also had a lower aura than hers meant that with just a little training he would be much stronger than Riser.

"Then how about a bet," said Rias, drawing Ren's attention.

Ren turned and looked at Rias who smiled.

"If you win we will never disturb you again, but if you lose you will join my Nobility" said Rias smiling immensely as she thought it was already a won fight.

"Very well," Ren said as he smiled inwardly.

His plan was working.

In the farthest part of the Occult Research Club, in a small clearing were currently Rias and his Nobility and on the other side Ren.

After the challenge of battle everyone had headed to a place where they could fight.

On one side were Rias and his Nobility, his [Queen] Akeno, his [Knight] Kiba, and his [Tower] Koneko.

On the other side was Ren with his hands in his pockets and a bored look.

"Don't forget Ren-san if you lose you will join my Nobility" said Rias confident of his victory.

"Yeah, sure, sure," Ren said with pure indifference that pissed off the Devils.

"Kiba" said Rias, making his [Knight] advance.

Kiba quickly summoned the power of his Sacred Gear [Sword Birth] and summoned a sword before advancing on Ren.

Kiba literally disappeared when he moved at such a high speed that it would have been impossible to see for a normal human or even lower class demons.

However to Ren he appeared to be moving at such a low speed that he appeared to be standing still.

"See, this is the power of my [Knight], Kiba is considered one of the greatest [Knights] in the underworld, you shouldn't even be able to see him" said Rias arrogantly because for her the battle had already been won.

Kiba advanced with his high speed against Ren and suddenly appeared in front of the new Sekiryuutei and using his sword cut Ren's body in half.

Rias smiled with glee at seeing their big battle just to widen his eyes.

Kiba when he turned his gaze to Ren's eyes widened.

Where the cut on Ren's body should have been was in flames on top, it would be more accurate to say that his own body had turned to flames.

"So is this what one of the greatest swordsmen in the underworld is capable of? I'm disappointed," Ren said as he looked at Kiba with disappointment.

Gritting his teeth in rage Kiba drew his sword again and lunged at Ren swinging it and slicing Ren's body horizontally.

When Kiba cut him, they all turned their gaze to Ren only to see that in the same place where the cut was supposed to be, flames were covering the part of the body.

Quickly the flames disappeared showing that Ren's body was totally unharmed.

The devils didn't have enough time to think as Ren stretched out his hand and a black sword emerged from its shadow.

Grabbing the hilt of his sword Ren turned his gaze to the devils and literally disappeared.

The demons were stunned but it was short-lived when Ren suddenly appeared behind Kiba with his sword raised.

In the next instant several cuts appeared all over Kiba's body making wounds so deep that it was possible to see even the muscles and veins, Kiba fell to the ground while spitting blood.

"Kiba!!!" shouted Rias along with Koneko and Akeno in despair.

"Die!!" shouted Rias while charging his demonic power in his hand causing an orb of red energy to appear in her, it was the [Power of Destruction].

Rias screamed in rage and fired his blood skill at Ren who in a swing of his sword cut her in half with extreme ease.

Seeing Rias' despair and Kiba's plight on Rias's [Tower], Koneko took on Ren.

"Koneko, stop!" yelled Akeno as he realized he wasn't a normal person.

Koneko lunged at Ren as he raised his fist and punched Ren with all his strength.

All of the earth beneath Ren split and shattered when Koneko hit Ren's body that didn't even move.

The Sekiryuutei quickly grabbed Koneko by the neck as the look of despair came over his face, Ren made an earthquake bubble appear in his hand scaring Nekomata.

In one blow Koneko's entire head is hit by the power of the earthquake bubble created from the power of the [Gura Gura No Mi] causing blood to leak from his head before Koneko falls unconscious to the ground with blood leaking from his head.
