2023-05-03 03:03:35 +0000 UTCWhat I loved about Bly so much is how Mike Flannigan illustrated the theme of love v. ownership in toxic relationships by using the horror genre with spirit possession. In this horror story, the people are the scary ghosts, but even more, their emotions and memories are the real ghosts haunting our characters. Just so well written!

It's quite different from Hill House and Bly, but I think it's my favorite Mike Flanagan series and would love to see what you think of it!

2023-05-02 23:18:18 +0000 UTCyeee the insinuation is that they'd fully take over the kids bodies and live as them and be able to leave. pretty disturbing as the kids are siblings. They couldn't leave as them before as they hadn't fully committed until the saying. It's like a complete takeover rather than a possession. next episode is a great one, well they all are, but I especially love that one!

They want to enter a younger ghosts body, Peter figured it out, not living one, but dead one, to be able to stay as ghosts for longer, sharing Miles and Flora's ghost bodies, to avoid becoming no faces like the rest who it eventually happens to - so they can still look like themselves for longer and not lose themselves or each other...Sort of like ghost realm chain mail, if it makes sense (I could be wrong though lol) The acting definitely was amazing, I agree. Even from the kids, I'm still trying to digest it all. Love your reaction to this guys. Roll on next week...
